My Photography
I started my photographic journey with a 35mm film camera and developed black and white photographs in a darkroom. I enjoy the simplicity of film and the process of taking photographs. I find it meditative and fascinating to observe the world around me. With digital photography, I never became interested in post processing. It can be an art in itself, but I haven’t explored that avenue. I’ve never used an advanced editing program. The most editing I’ve done is cropping in the basic program that comes with my electronic devices. I do everything else on the camera when the photo is taken. I observe the composition, and lighting, and adjust accordingly. This photo of a Queen Butterfly is an example where I over exposed making the background white and bringing out detail of the butterfly and plant.
